When running EZ-Filing on Windows 7 or Window Vista, how do I reset my privileges to run as adminstrator?

Answer

EZ-Filing® is compatible with Windows® 7, as well as Windows® Vista. However, if you have trouble installing, running or updating EZ-Filing on one of these operating systems, you will need to set your Windows privileges to run as adminstrator.

Additionally, Internet Explorer (I/E) 8 is shipped with Window 7. If your court CM/ECF website is not yet compatible with I/E 8, you will have difficulty accessing your court's CM/ECF website from EZ-Filing. In this case, you should set your default browser to use I/E 7, until your court's website supports I/E 8.

1. Shut down EZ-Filing.

2. On your desktop, right-click the EZ-Filing icon, and click Properties.

3. In the EZ-Filing Properties window:

Select the Compatibility tab.
In the Privilege Level area, check-mark Run this program as an administrator.
Click OK to close the Properties window.

4. Re-launch EZ-Filing.
