You can set your preferences to automatically update EZ-Filing between major releases or to prompt you when updates are available.
1. In the main menu bar, click
System>Preferences.
2. In the Preferences window, in the Options list, select Software Updates.
The right part of the window shows the date your software last checked for updates and the date it will automatically check again.
3. In the Automated EZ-Filing Software Updates area:
- If your computer has a direct connection to the Internet, such as DSL, select one of the first two options.
- If your computer has a dial-up connection to the Internet, select Prompt for Updates, and specify when you want the update to occur.
4. Specify whether you want to be prompted when you start or exit EZ-Filing.
5. Click OK to save your preferences and close the window.
