EZ-Filing typically distributes a major software release about once a year. Once you've installed EZ-Filing, you can easily update your installation if your EZ-UpKeep™ subscription is current.
For the most efficient download, EZ-Filing recommends using a high-speed Internet connection.
1. If you are using Windows® 7 or Vista, first reset your privileges to run as administrator:
- Shut down EZ-Filing.
- On your desktop, right click the EZ-Filing icon, and select Properties from the menu.
- In the EZ-Filing Properties window, select the Compatibility tab.
- In the Privelege Level area, check-mark Run this program as an administrator, and click OK to save your changes and close the window.

Note: If you click Later in the EZ-Filing Automatic Update window to install EZ-Filing at a more convenient time, the next time you open EZ-Filing, a message will prompt you to install the update at that time.
However, if you have reset your preferences and turned off the prompt for automatic software updates, in the future you will need to manually check for updates. See How do I set preferences for software updates? for more information.
