You can review IRS national deductions and revise the deductions to be shown on Form B22.

1. In the main menu bar, click System>Form B22 Support>IRS National Standards: Food, Clothing & Other Items.
2. In the IRS National Standards … window:

• Select the year for the deductions you want to review. The Effective Dates specify the time periods you can select.
• Select the area whose deductions you want to review—US (the contiguous 48 states), AK (Alaska), or HI (Hawaii).
• Select the number of persons in the household.
• Review the deductions listed in the window.
• To revise the deductions, click Edit.

3. In the Edit IRS National Standard window:

• Skip the Year, US/State, and Persons field.
  Note: EZ-Filing does not recommend applying the deductions for the year, area, and number of persons that you selected to a different year, area, and/or number of persons.
• Review the deductions listed in the window. If you need to revise a deduction, exercise caution.
• Do one of the following:
• To preserve your revisions when you update EZ-Filing, check-mark Prohibit automatic update. See Automatic updates for more information.
• To overwrite your revisions and restore the default content, make sure that the check box is cleared.

4. Click OK to close the window and save your work.
   Note: If you need to undo your revisions and restore all published values for all time periods, areas, and numbers of persons, click Reset in the IRS National Standards … window.
