Use the following workflow to guide you through the process of preparing a bankruptcy case for all chapter types. Note that some steps in the process only apply to certain bankruptcy types.

1. Have a new client complete a questionnaire
2. Fill out the Voluntary Petition for one of the following debtor types:
   
   • Single individual with consumer debt
   • Single individual with business debt
   • Married individual with consumer debt
   • Married individual with business debt
   • Joint consumer debt
   • Joint business debt
   • Partnership debt
   • Corporation debt
   • Other types of business debt
3. For Chapters 7, 11, and 13 cases: Fill out Form B22
4. Disclose fees:
   
   • Attorney fees
   • Nonattorney preparer fees
5. Transfer debt information to the liabilities list
6. Transfer IRS tax transcripts to the case file
7. As needed:
   
   • Add case notes to the file
   • Add attachments to forms or replace forms
   • Create custom forms
   • Fill out local case forms
8. Add assets to Schedules A, B, and C
9. Add executory contracts to Schedule G
10. For Individual and Joint debtor types: Add income to Schedule I and expenditures to Schedule J
11. For Partnership, Corporation, and Other business debtor types: Add equity security holders
12. Add responses to the Statement of Financial Affairs
13. For Individual and Joint debtor types: Attach payment advices
14. For Chapter 13 cases: Prepare a Chapter 13 plan
