Use the following workflow to guide you through the process of filling out Form B22A, B22B, or B22C. The chapter you select on the Voluntary Petition determines the type of Form B22 you must complete. As you proceed through the windows in Form B22, note that some of the fields are already filled
in with information that you entered previously in the client case. Before you begin, you may want to:
To fill out Form B22:
- Add debtor information
- Add information about wages, salary, tips, bonuses, overtime pay, and commissions. Do either or both of the following:
- Review the Paycheck and Deduction Summary Worksheets
- Add other sources of income information
- Review the Other Income Summary Worksheet
- Revise the marital adjustment
- Review the analysis of total monthly income
- Do one of the following:
- If debtor is filing Chapter 11, STOP here.
- If debtor is eligible to file under Chapter 7 or 13, continue with the next steps.
- Add the IRS standard deduction information
- Adjust payroll deduction information
- Add other expense deduction information for § 707(b)
- Add secured and prior debt information
- For Chapter 7, determine § 707(b)(2) presumption
- For Chapter 13, add administrative expenses and § 1325(b)(2) deductions
- Add additional expense claims
- Review the completed Form B22
