How do I delete the case number for a case that has been dismissed, so I can refile the client as a new case?

The case was filed without the Certificate of Credit Counseling, as the client could not obtain it. Hence, the case was dismissed, so I need to refile this case as a new case. In the meantime, I was not able to delete the original case number.

In EZ-Filing > Voluntary petition
In EZ-Filing > Case management > Client cases

Answer

In the main menu, select Client>Voluntary Petition.
In the Edit Voluntary Petition window, select the Case Info tab.
Delete the entry in the Case Number field.
Click OK to save your changes and close the window.
